Ricardo Gallegos took care of some minor things that came up while performing two reroof projects for us without charging us any additional fees while we were in Texas.

After getting bids from several roofing companies I chose United Construction to roof my house in Newberg. They also did some dry rot repair around the dormers.

Ricardo and his company did an excellent job on my roof replacement. Ricardo’s quote was the best one we received in terms of value and pricing. He added new air vents to the roof and ensured that it would have proper ventilation to withstand the rainy winter and hot summers. We need a new roof for a small project and, also, the roof of our house was in need of maintenance. We checked on Angi for roofing companies. After interviewing 3 or 4 different companies we choose United Construction & Roofing.
What we like about this company is that before going up to check the roof, they reassured us that they know how to handle concrete tiles. And yes, we were worried about that and at the same time we were wondering how to get a quote if no one take a close look to the roof. Ricardo took pictures of some tiles that had some cracks or were broken and also of other areas that need some minor repairs. Ricardo, explained to us, step by step, what was need it and how they will fix it. After one or two days I received an itemized quote, which it was east to follow. The price was fair (we compared to other quotes).
Ricardo and his crew showed up on time and always cleaned up before leaving for the day.
They did a wonderful work installing the roof for the new addition and my old roof looks now like new! Almost forgot to mention that they cleaned up the gutters and installed new gutters for the new bedroom.

Ricardo was professional and responsive. I had a tree fall on my house that damaged my roofing and split a truss tail. After talking with several contractors I went with United. There was a team out repairing my roof within a week. They did a great job and went above my expectations. I’d recommend to anyone looking at a roofing project.

United Construction (we worked with Ricardo) did an excellent job from start to finish. Our ADU/garage roof was leaking and they recommended a replacement with TPO material, which was the same recommendation given by 3 other companies. They were very clear about explaining what work they would perform. The price for the work also ended up being a bit cheaper than any other bid we received.
They were very flexible & efficient with how they worked. They were able to install the new roof in January despite how rainy Portland is. They can work in sections, so they managed to fit in the work over 4 dry days in January. Other companies said they need a full week that is dry, so if we went with another company we might have had a leaky roof until April or May.
Overall, it was a very good experience. We have no doubt the roof will last — we can even see it from our house. They provide a 5 year warranty as well.

Ricardo, found the cause of a sag in my newish roof. It was a cracked rafter missing a support beam. He and his team were able to install a new beam and support it and the existing beam. It was a difficult job due to a very low interior space. His bid was competitive, and completed the project quickly. He and his team were amiable to work with. I would highly recommend Ricardo and his company.

Ricardo was great. We received a very fast response for a quote. We had a leak in the valley area. They got on the roof, checked things over & provided a quote that included photos of what they believed were the problems. Gave us our options and the cost differences. Ricardo & his crew were professional, fast and did a very through job with an excellent clean up. We didn’t have to do anything after they left. Ricardo and his team are the best! We originally hired them to clean the moss off our roof. They were the only ones who got on the roof before providing a quote which was lower than all of the others we received. Ricardo took pictures to show us what was going on up there. After cleaning the roof he let us know about concerns they encountered while doing the job. He gave us his opinion and some options which included repairing the roof or replacing it along with the pros/cons of each. After they finished cleaning the roof we hired them to replace part of our fence. Once again, excellent job! A few months later we contacted Ricardo for quotes to repair or replace the roof. He once again provided us with fair quotes. We decided to replace the roof and Ricardo and his team started the job the next day. Once the shingles came off, the team found that some of the plywood needed to be replaced and most of what was up there wasnâ t nailed down properly. Ricardo kept us informed about other things they encountered and provided pictures and recommendations along the way. We really appreciated the thoroughness of the job they did and their attention to details. We are positive Ricardo and his team have saved us money in the long run. And we loved that they took pictures of everything as they encountered issues. The customer service, responsiveness, work ethic and thoroughness are outstanding. We will definitely hire Ricardo and his team again and will highly recommend them to anyone who has construction work that needs to be done.
